How to apply

UWC Nigeria follows a thorough and well-rounded selection process to identify motivated and talented young individuals who align with UWC’s values and mission.

Application Stage
Step One: Application Fee & Payment

The first step is to pay the application fee. Once you have made the payment, please send a clear copy of the receipt, along with your full name, to our official email address: [email protected]. After confirming your payment, we will send you the full application materials and the next steps. Please note confirmation takes 24 – 72 hours.

The application fee is based on the applicant type

General Applicants (applying independently, including from private, international, or unsubsidized public schools) are required to pay ₦20,000.

Public school nominees (those nominated by their school principal or counsellor) are eligible for a reduced fee of ₦5,000

The key difference in General Applicants and Public School Nominees lies in formal school nomination and fee structure, not in eligibility for the UWC program. Both categories are assessed equally in terms of merit, leadership potential, and fit for UWC values.

Interview Stage

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted directly by the Nigerian National Committee for the final stage of the selection process, the national interview. Interview details will be communicated to successful applicants only.

Nomination Stage

After selections, the National Committee nominates the most promising candidates for placement at UWC schools and colleges. Successful applicants will:
